No, phase 1 reservation only means you have access to the distance learning portal, get with your training NCO to get a seat reserved for phases 2 & 3. I highly recommend you do both phases back to back.

Phase1 is simply about your ability to lead and research information to better support your troops. Phase 2 is MOS specific. It teaches you skills at the 30 level that you will incur at the rank of staff sergeant. Every MOS goes to the same phase 1 ALC. Each course requires a separate reservation.

Each phase usually needs to be "reserved" separately. If you do get a quota for subsequent phases you need to be sure to attend or you will be labeled a "no show" which could hurt your chances for future attendance.

No. Your training NCO will have to submit a packet to the NCOES for a seat.

If there are multiple phases to a course you need to have your unit unput an ATRRS application for each phase. Sometimes the schoolhouse can "walk you on" to the later phases, but you can't rely on that or expect it. Some people choose to break it up and attend a phase at a time. I would advise anyone to stay and complete each phase back to back.

Depending on your status (Active, Guard, Reserve) you will only be put on orders/DTS for the period of time that you are Reserved for a course.

Only if your unit Training NCO puts you in for the follow up courses. The Bn will sometimes wait to make a reservation for the follow up courses either due to funding, or no seats are available in the FY your phase 1 is scheduled. Don't stress it, and check back often with your leadership on this issue.

You are not automatically signed up for phase 2 your training nco has to input you. After you arrive anyone who has not shown up for phase 1 will drop out and you can put you into phase 2 as long as you have orders. But all this depends on the school house. Contact the course manager. Anything 89 related I can assist

Your required structured self develop (ssd) will be the equivalent of phase. Each career management field will be slightly different. Phase 1 should be your ssd and phase two should be the actual course. You will need the ssd completed prior to attending phase 2. With the STEP program some NCOESs are already turning away non-promotable sgt's. So make sure you have a reservation on attrs and not a wait status.

SSD is NOT the same as phase I. Phase I is the DL module completed online prior to Phase II. SSD must be completed prior to eligibility for Phase I

Like I said, different CMF have different layouts, there is no such thing as a distance learning for my CMF, phase 1 is completion of ssd2.

Nope it's not automatic. You have to request a new seat for each class.

I would talk to your schools NCO. I went to ALC Phase 2 three years before they ever signed me up for Phase 1. Call your branch if you have to and see if they can push the issue.

Each phase are paid separate by your unit. You need to apply to each if they have enough seats and the unit have the funds to send you.

You should automatically be enrolled in all 3. Phase 1 is DL. SSD2 phase 3 and 4 are JBSA. just had an episode where the soldier was enrolled in 2 but not 1 and 3 so make sure it is simultaneously

Just saw that you went to ATRRS. It is weird that phase 2 does not show. I would talk with your schools NCO. Or... go back to ATRRS and look at the information provided for the course and most courses give a good breakdown of what is what, where to report, what to bring, etc etc... as well as what is needed to progress through each phase.

For my CBRN ALC I get reserved for 1 and 2 (depends on MOS on how many Phases you have) but you have to pass both to get 3, so say you don't make 1 for any reason, 2 will automatically be cancelled and vice versa and then seat for 3 will go to somebody else

No, you will not automatically go to Phases 2 and 3. A request for each needs to be submitted.

Get with your BN schools NCO who can see all of your reservations on ATTRS.

It ised to be phase 1 was common core stuff that all MOS's went to and then you would phase 2 which was MOS specific. I was tracking they got rid of the phases for SSD. SSD 2 is the common core stuff, you go to the board, then attend ALC before you can pin.
