What does ‘The American Dream’ mean to you?

Just being born American and living in one of the greatest countries that many inspire to become part of.

Hard work to earn everything that you want and to strive and give up sleep and time to actual dream dream in order to accomplish a better life for yourself.

It used to mean something but its all been lost in translation. We're selling off our country, companies are giving away our jobs, The government is letting anyone and everyone in and kicking no one out. The American dream amounts to little more than trying to hold on to the lifestyle we once knew, but is being taken from us dollar by dollar and job by job and hoping we don't have to work until the day we die to make ends meet. Some dream.

I'm not so sure. I believe we still have an "American Dream." I don't think we've gone so far that we can't get it back.
