Does anyone have any pictures of Kiowa Village? Moving to Carson soon and just accepted a house in Kiowa.

Living in Kiowa right now. Lots of kids, 2 parks, houses are what you would expect from on post housing. Px and Commissary are literally 3-5 min away. Schools are within walking distance. We like it just bc it's quiet and the kids have lots of other kids to play with. Can't complain to much.

Honestly Commanche III Housing was better than some of the housing here. If that gives you any perspective.

I just left Carson last year. Had a buddy that stayed in Kiowa. It's probably the best housing area on that post in my opinion. Pretty small multiplex style houses but they're newer than the other run down ghettos there. If living on post is your thing then that's probably the best place to do it. There's some pretty decent neighborhoods right outside gate 2 and Fountain is pretty clean an quite as long as you're on the north side of it. Otherwise, if you don't mind a little bit of a drive, I moved out to Falcon the last year I was there and it was well worth the commute. Maybe 30 min straight up HWY 24. Recommend you get a 4WD for the 9 months that it snows there though. Snow plows don't get out there as much and you're gonna need it do drive around all the hippies in their hybrids that are in the middle of the road spinning their wheels.

Brother, I live Kiowa Village. Do you know what address they plan on giving you? I can take some pictures for you. Not a bad neighborhood, you get a great view of the mountains either in your front yard or in backyard depending on which side your house is on in the circle.

I currently live in on post housing on hood and this stuff is pretty old. I'm thinking built in late 50s. Just wanting to know if I'm headed for a upgrade or more of the same as here.

From what I heard On post housing isnt the greatest. Ive only driven by some of the housing and its not something worth your BAH. I would highly recommend you go off post. If you want some help let me know I can give you some nice areas. (This is my opinion)

Navy Housing posts pictures of the different communities on Pinterst. Not sure if the Army does something similar.

I did the same thing and saw that as well. I'm looking for actual pictures of the inside. I appreciate the effort.

Patrick the best thing to do is go on line to look at the housing area.

Sir,
I figured the same thing but there isn't any pictures of the housing. I called the housing office and their response was they are working on hiring a photographer.

SSG (Join to see) - Not good... Yes, the floor plans are there, which is great, but no photos... that is BS. Balfour Beatty has been doing this for over 10 years now. Not acceptable. This is why we have ICE. I would use it. Lots of images on Google.
