Remember it was off limits back in the day as SMs were typically rolled within an hour after getting there. So we hung out and drank beer at the Body Shop on Rosecrans.

I fondly recall the body shop while attending the Basic Electricity/Electronics Principles course after bootcamp. One particularly fetching dancer who appeared to be Russian wore three pieces of strategically placed pink fluff.

it was off limits for my unit. I think so units were allowed to go.

Oh and one of the guys I knew got stabbed going over the TJ bridge trying to make it back to formation on the ship in an attempted robbery. He gets stabbed comes on the ship and stands in formation with the stab wound.

O Shit..is he ok now? Man I think we should have more power rights to defend ourselves down there...in a American Military kind of way..you know what I mean?

It was off technically off limits for us, but one of the guys in my platoon got arrested for fighting in TJ and my gunny had to go down and bribe the police to release him.
