Currently in the MAR2 process.
Just completed BLC. Was wondering if I am still able to get promoted this following month. Was told the job options that were available with my limitations.
-Am I able to get promoted during this process?
-Will I be able to get promoted to E5 if my new MOS is not given yet?
-If they tell me that I’m awarded a new MOS before the list comes out, will I be making the list with 13B or wait for the following month with that new MOS?
-The career counselor told me the possible jobs I can get today, was told he will send it up today. How long until I get a answer with the decision of my new MOS?
-Also, if they give me a MOS that I do not want, will I be able to deny re-enlisting? I only have 13 months left. What would happen if I deny that job option?

SGM (Join to see) gave a good run down of the process. Once HRC makes its decision you will immediately have a new MOS. So if your training is 88M, the next day your ERB will say you are now an 88M1O4A. The ASI 4A means not qualified in MOS- no fault of Soldier. With ASI 4A you can still get promoted. If you go to your reclass school and fail, you will receive ASI 4B and will not be able to promote. Also, if you promote as an ASI 4A your promotion is conditional upon you graduating your new training.
If you don’t like the training option you can choose to decline the reenlistment requirement that will most likely be attached one of two things will happen. First one is that HRC will change your MOS to 09U and your Career Counselor will change your ETS date to 270 days later and you will honorably ETS as not qualified in any MOS. Second possibility is that HRC says screw you’re feelings and you’re going to training. If that happens they will usually send you back to your original location.

SGT (Join to see) that’s up to HRC to decide. Usually they will change your MOS to 09U and give you 270 days to separate. But if they choose they can waive the SRR and send you to training.
For instance, they could make you an 88M. You’d go to training within 45 days. Training is 7 weeks. The Army still gets almost a year of work out of you.

SGT (Join to see) nope. You never pay back a bonus when it's not your fault. Even if you lost your MOS because you lost your clearance and had to reclass you wouldn't have to pay back your bonus. There are very few times you have to pay back your bonus. In fact, if your new MOS has a bonus, you'll receive a bonus if you have to reenlist for it

According to AR 600-8-19, Ch. 1-21
"i. Soldiers pending medical retention decision or medical separation will not be removed from a promotion list until promoted or until after being determined fit for duty and afforded 180 days to retain promotion eligibility, provided they are otherwise qualified and eligible with this regulation."
Ch. 1-33 goes on to say:
"d. Mandatory reclassification-Soldier not at fault. Soldiers reclassified based on a permanent medical limitation, MOS deleted from the force structure, or DA directed will be processed as follows:
(1) Loss of qualification-permanent medical limitation (MOS Administrative Retention Review). Soldiers reclassified based on a permanent medical limitation will be awarded a new PMOS with ASI 4A as directed by HRC, GOCOM, MSC, DRU (for USAR TPU Soldiers) or AG/DARNG (for ARNG Soldiers). The ASI will be withdrawn when training is com-plete.
(a) Soldiers will be promoted conditionally and will have 1 year to complete the required training for their new PMOS (24 months for ARNG). The following statement will be added to the special instructions of the promotion instrument: “Soldier has not met the PMOS training requirement and is promoted conditionally. If the Soldier does not attend and successfully complete formal MOS training within 12 months from the effective date of this promotion, the Soldier will be administratively reduced and will be required to re-compete to regain promotable status. De facto status will not be granted.”
(b) HRC, GOCOM, MSC, DRU (for USAR TPU Soldiers) or AG/DARNG (for ARNG Soldiers) will take action to verify that Soldiers that are promoted conditionally have completed the required training in the new PMOS within 1 year (24 months for ARNG Soldiers). If the Soldier does not attend or successfully complete the required PMOS training as scheduled, the Soldier will be administratively reduced and must be reconsidered to become promotable. HRC, GOCOM, MSC, DRU (for USAR TPU Soldiers) or AG/DARNG (for ARNG Soldiers) will take action to administratively reduce the Soldier.
(c) Soldiers conditionally promoted that are subsequently referred into the DES and found unfit prior to completion of formal MOS training will be allowed to keep the conditional promotion.
(d) Exceptions to policy will be considered by the DCS, G–1 (DAPE–MPE–PD) for Title 10 and CNGB for Title 32 Soldiers."
