Trying to update a Soldiers ERB to reflect a 2008 deployment but S1 says I need his orders. He says he doesn't have any and doesn't know where they went. It was 15 months. I refuse to believe the army can't prove he was deployed to be able to reflect this on his erb but thats what my S1 says. Has anyone had this issue or know how to resolve this. We already checked mobcop and they have some of his orders but not the one I am looking for.

While I hope this soldier is able to get this resolved using his LES, I also hope that he takes away a valuable lesson from the situation; make sure that you keep a copy of EVERYTHING that the Army gives you! No. Keep 10 copies. Better yet, make sure that you also have a digital copy in case your crazy ex-wife decides to set your house on fire.

Try this link: https://mobcop.army.mil/MOBCOPHome.aspx
The MOBCOP is the gatekeeper to the various DAMPS portals that store Temporary Change of Station (TCS0 orders. The one you want to look into is DAMPS-ORDERS for TCS for deployments. It requires AKO/CAC login and allows you to either view the orders online or request them from the issuing authority.
I had no proof of my deployment with my unit 09-10 and Fort Riley gave me a 48 hour turn-around on the full orders after I used this system.

Another recommendation would be contacting your old unit commander and having them write a Memorandum for record stating when you deployed, the tour length, awards earned to include combat patches.

In Iperms you should have a copy of your deployment orders. If not, you can write St. Louis where all military records are kept.

Thank you for everyones responses. My 1st Sergeant is working some things to try to get this information to help us. But I really enjoyed the positive feedback and information everyone has shared. I am starting to like this site a little more each day. Its always great to have a place where your peers can help you succede and can be across the world from you as they do it. Thanks everyone

Not sure if this was already mentioned but both of my deployment orders had our entire deployment roster with names and SS#s of everyone who deployed. I suggest asking someone from your unit if they have a copy.
Side note: keeping 10 paper copies of everything is great but you can have an immediate digital copy by snapping a pic of your document, then just email it to yourself. Now you have two digital copies.

It was a different unit and yes you are right we are currently teaching the Soldiers to use the picture to pdf app on their phones to make a digital copy of everything they get. Thank you for answering.

We are currently deployed and he has the award at home and we have checked his Iperms and no award there.

I hate to say it, but with nothing in the OMPF, IPERMS, no award on hand and no "love me book", I'm out of ideas... Hopefully a knowledgeable Personnel guru will pop on and have an awesome answer...

I know right, it was a mess when I first looked at his Iperms and ERB but we are 75% there now and just fixing a few of these last issues. The Soldier has learned alot and we are making sure everyone in the unit is updating there ERBs, something that was failing to get done here for years.

This is money! TCS orders are stored here. I've been retired for 8 years and can still go in and see all of my deployment orders. Good luck.
