Trying to update a Soldiers ERB to reflect a 2008 deployment but S1 says I need his orders.  He says he doesn't have any and doesn't know where they went.  It was 15 months.  I refuse to believe the army can't prove he was deployed to be able to reflect this on his erb but thats what my S1 says.  Has anyone had this issue or know how to resolve this.  We already checked mobcop and they have some of his  orders but not the one I am looking for.

Nay, what's going on brother?
Have him bring in an award that he should have received For That deployment, If That Fails Have Him Google MOBCOP in which he log in with his CAC and his orders should be posted there.

Is there no DD214 available? This is the document of record for deployments.

If the soldier has computer access have them log on to there AKO with there CAC Card and access there OMPF. His orders should be under TCS/DeploymentMob section. If they aren't there not sure where else to look at this point.

Use supporting documents - LES', awards or even evaluation reports. Not the first time a Soldier or NCO has had to get creative on showing deployment proof. If the S1 is stonewalling the Soldier then send them up to the next level S1. All it takes is 1 or 2 unconventional documents to show proof and it is a done deal.

I hope this gets resolved.

Go to MOBCOP in the internet, loving with your CAC and there is supposed to be all your TCS or any deployment order. They are loaded by the issuing personnel.

Units will give out TCS orders but I did not know what you could use LES as a proof.

Since you are deployed. See if you can get into contact with his old Units S1. the one he deployed with and or look up his old units prior deployment dates. when you do reach them request documents on said prior deployment. If they give you a run around ask to talk to the S1 ADJ, he/she tends to be willing to work with some one calling and asking for information.  From there verify they were deployed during said times.

Units are required to keep records for a certain amount of time. I am not sure when he deployed but I would assume it was at least three to four years ago. Which means they may not have those documents anymore.

If that is the case I would try to join S1 Net or have your S1 log into S1 net and ask around for the deployment orders.

It's not a perfect answer, but you might want to try reaching out to the Soldier's branch at HRC. They may be able to find the orders or find other supporting documentation that may assist. If they can not do that much, they may have an alternate solution that can assist.

The LES is a great idea because most people probably wouldn't think of it. A couple of other ideas would be is that there is a section on a Soldier's ERB where it shows what combat deployments a Soldier has been on that is inputted by the S1. Also, the unit's G3/S3 usually keep a copy of deployment orders for the unit and lastly the installation's MPD is responsible for cutting deployments orders so you can ask for them there.

SGT(P) Naylor, where was this soldier stationed?  If he was in another unit, have him contact someone from there.  I know during that time, there were a couple of units who had 15 month rotations.

He was in another unit and we are currently deployed so it is a little harder to contact the other units.  Thank you for the response though.  We are currently working a way to get it done but it does take time.

There is nothing in his Iperms showing his deployment?  No Statement of service, Award, or official documents showing a deployment location?

You can have deployment orders upload to  iperms.   He had to have them to file the travel voucher upon return.

Agreed, all of mine are on there, and the new orders which are individual orders instead of mass battalion orders go automatically on there now.

Well, the biggest issue in my current issue that I have noticed is that in the past much of the documents that are supposed to be uploaded in Iperms was not.  We are currently trying to fix this issue and make it better for future soldiers.
