Are fighter planes relics with the advent of UAVs?

When the technology advances enough? Yes. Right now? Not so much. The capabilities aren't quite there yet.

I believe UAVs will definitely continue to grow in an augmentation role for aerial combat, but I don't see them replacing fighters or bombers in the near future.

I seriously doubt that any UAV will have the ability to carry the firepower of an aircraft such as the A-10! So I would say no, they are not a thing of the past.
