Since you are a 35F, DIA courses may be more relavent, but Foundry courses are overall pretty good. Several of the classes have been revamped/updates within the last year; with a couple more getting final approval as we speak

Absolutely. Foundry courses are well worth the time. Attend every single one your unit will let you go to.

To answer the second part of your question, each course has its own recommended rank/experience level. But there are courses out there for just about every Intel rank and MOS.

The way Foundry works (or at least the way it worked 5 years ago) is that INSCOM pays for the school and the cost of you being there, your unit has to pay to get you there and back (travel pay), and give you the time. So this is something that HAS to be worked through your chain of Command. While the cost to the unit is low, there IS a cost. Plus, there are limited seats in each course, so your unit will probably have an OML (or at least a priority list) which has to be negotiated. (There is also the option of a Foundry course coming TDY to your installation if you get enough people together and available for a course, but that is something worked at the G2 level and not something you need tp worry about.)

Hey, I’ve completed a few INSCOM Foundry courses. Are you asking if they give promotion points? Anyway, I found them to be pretty useful and have helped me in my day to day duties. I’ve been wondering if they would be worth points as well.

I was looking into foundry more to gain knowledge. I wasn’t really interested because of points or the possibility of points. Is there a pocket to start taking the courses?

I’m not exactly sure of the process. I expressed, constantly, my interest in intel training and before I knew it I was signed up for two foundry courses. I definitely suggest them. I feel they helped me both in terms of Analysis and Security management. SPC (Join to see)

Are inscom foundry courses worth completing? And if so what rank is suggested/required to attend?

They are worth it helped me and my Soldiers during deployment. Shouldn't be a rank requirement from my experience.

SPC (Join to see) you can purchase a CAC reader at Best Buy, or any other tech store. Definitely a good investment. Hell, they even make them for smart phones, now.
