That would honestly kill me. I was all about uniform regulations. I took pride in my uniform and spent an hour each day making sure I always looked shit hot. This speaks to me as someone who only care about herself instead of everything her uniform represents. It saddens me that people don't have the same love for the honor of wearing the uniform that I did.

I thought at one time they used to lead the bull by the ring in its nose..... I wonder if that was her intent for her superiors. Just a thought.... On a professional level, she is disrespecting the uniform. How can she look in the mirror and think that looks appropriate, let alone within regulations? What is happening to our military today is atrocious...

Too much PC PO2 Samantha Day. Nobody wants to start a war about someone's appearance. At least, that's what I think.

Nobody is... I spoke my mind, so it seems I need to stay with a forum that is more opened minded and not worried about that.

I'm not worried about it. What I wrote is what I think is happening. It wasn't addressed to you. I was insinuating the higher command wouldn't approve it, but try to not make it a personal thing with these two women, or others. I don't know what would happen. Things have changed so much in the military, I'm glad I'm not in anymore. I would be busted down to a PVT, and get an article 15, or worse.

Are septum piercings authorized in Air Force uniforms?

PO1 John Miller Anytime I see someone with a septum piercing, I want to attach a leash to it, and lead them around like livestock. Being that she is in uniform, I can see it unfolding like this:
1) Airman shows up with piercing, and is corrected before pulling onto the base
2)Airman notes the Security Police Officer's name
3) Airman files a SHARP complaint against the SP Officer
4) SP Officer gets a reprimand because he said something to her.

That is the way of things. The way of Politically Correct.

I don't think it's as absurd as this. She's directly disobeying a regulation. If she so much as dared to file a report on his correction she would find herself in a deep hole of crap because he tried to do her a favor by telling her to remove it rather than noting her name and giving it to her command.
Yeah the military is getting much softer than how it used to be and they need to stop caring so much about the poor feelings of the people who are supposed to be battle hardened and ready.

SrA (Join to see) - in a society where the criminal can sue their victim because they fell breaking into a house and an individual can sue a fast food place over spilled coffee in the lap, we cannot automatically discount that the person taking corrective action could end up on the hot seat. I agree with the whole just say thank you for the correction, and not being reported, but that is not the way modern society works.

1. Is she still in the USAF or AD or reserve? Sometimes folks who have gotten out may pull this crap to get a rise.

2. If she is, and you know her or her unit, report her ass to her NCO chain...

Mdm. She's in a POV. Even her earrings are not 35-10. I think she's messing around. If not then yes not while in uniform.
