Are there any military resources available to receive free boxes for moving?

I'm not PCSing, just moving to another building, and would like to know if there's anywhere I could pick up some boxes to put my stuff in?

Try the commissary. Grocery stores go through a ridiculous amount of boxes in a day

The Freecycle Network is a grassroots and entirely nonprofit movement of people who are giving (and getting) stuff for free in their own towns. It's all about reuse and keeping good stuff out of landfills.

Have you checked with Army Military Housing?

SFC (Join to see) has it right. I always asked my local grocery store. Commissary may be willing to help. Look for canned goods boxes for your heavy stuff. Banana boxes are good for large items but will require some reinforcement.

Go by the recycle point, you'll see plenty of packing boxes left by folks after PCSing.
