CSM (Join to see) I saw the exact same reduction. Sad. Upload a photo if you can!

Yes I fly Old Glory and the AF Flags 24/7 (except when it gets really windy here). They are also lighted at night. I do live in an area that is a HOA. But nobody has confronted me about it. I have flown them here since 2006. So I'm assuming nobody has a problem with it yet. They would be hard pressed to get me to take them down anyway. An Army SSG who is a recruiter also flies one across the street.

Most HOAs have banned the flying of flags in their communities for multiple reasons.  One of the most popular reasons is that HOAs tend to think is degrades that properties and community when flying a flag.  It is viewed as a "only true born and bred Americans are allowed to live here" mentality. This just shows ignorance and catering to the politically correct way of thinking.

SGT (Join to see) I found the same problem living in one for many years...never looked back when I moved out. It was a great decision.

The wife said it was to big. I said it wasn't big enough. There are a lot of flags flying in Glen Ellyn. It makes me wonder could the flags be influencing those who move into the neighborhood? Two new neighbors one Marine wife and husband and other Army wife and husband. Both of which before their moving van's were unloaded had flags up on their houses.

Didn't know wives ever said that! ;)
If the flags are influencing those moving in...wouldn't that be a great thing? :)

To funny PO2 Jonathan Scharff. I'll lob them up and you hit'em out of the park. I hope the flags are having an impact on the community. On a side note I did a salute at this weekends USA vs. All Blacks game. It was nice to see a couple of others in the crowd saluting as well.

For the first time in my life, I have a flag pole. It is very high and I am old. I have yet to hang a flag on it. I wish I could.

We do fly the flag at our house. I think patriotism, including flying the flag, is probably pretty high. I don't see any drop - among the folks I know and in the working class neighborhood where I live.
