I have played many tactical and operational board war games starting with Anzio in the 1960's GySgt Carl Rumbolo.
Later I have played Panzerblitz, Panzer Leader and the Arab Israeli board war games.

I still have my copy of those games - I have the whole 'Fleet series - from the late 80's, a copy of the Gulf War simulation, a Korea war simulation and the original Blitzkrieg, plus a few others.
Mostly now I have moved to operational level computer simulations, doing scenario modeling etc.

GySgt Carl Rumbolo - My last active duty assignment was in the Army Concepts Analysis Agency where I served in the tactical/operational directorate from 1989 - 1992. There we worked through operational war games which helped shape policy and programmatic decisions and also assisted in the planning for Desert Storm.

It's hard to find someone to play with. I have PanzerBlitz, KriegSpiel, Luftwaffe, Midway, and several others. My favorite is probably Ogre, at which I've never been beaten.
I'm also a big fan of computer tactical games, Civilization 2 and XCom: Ufo Defense being my favorites.

Although I like to play board wargames, my love is for miniatures wargames. Flames of War has been my favorite for the last 13 years. It is a WW2 game, but they have just come out with a modern version based on Harold Coyle's Team Yankee.
