SGT Bryon Sergent, Is see what you did there. In 1975, the first missiles was testing against drones in White Sands. Initially developed for surface to air capabilities against aircraft, I think the mid to late 80’s, Patriot was upgraded with limited uses against actual missile defense and received their first true test in Desert Storm. I personally served as a Maintenance NCO for a Patriot Battery during the invasion of Iraq and witnessed the reliability and capability of the Patriot system. It’s a great piece of modern missile defense technology.

1SG (Join to see), roger that. Development in the mid 70's, modernization in the mid 80's, first tested during Desert Storm and nearly perfected during the invasion of Iraq. The system has come along way.
