I am still using an aggressive approach as my investment strategy which i have done since 1993 or so and plan on maintaining until I turn 66 1/3 when I will become a little less aggressive SGT Larry Prentice.
I started investing just before I turned 30. The best advice I received was to invest through an allotment or bank draft and increase the contribution when I was promoted or received another pay raise so that i wouldn't notice a downturn in my take home but would increase my investments steadily over time. 29 years later I am able to appreciate the wisdom of steady investments and as the market went up my value went up when it went down i was able to buy more shares.

I would be interested to read any proposal. Are you referring to investing for retirement or a career opportunity?
