You do not need to attend the board again to be removed from the C10 roster. Now, if the promotion report comes out and it lists you eligible for CLI and the commander says no for CLI, then you will be barred from reenlistment. That is per the regulation. If you fail to keep your records update (IE APFT is not updated) you will be removed automatically from the C10 roster. There is no code for that. Let's say you receive an ART15 and are removed from the promotion list, there is a flag associated with it, but I can't remember it off the top of my head. Are you wanting to be removed from the list?

yes, another way to get off the CLI is to attend a board to do so, its there that i was wondering of the possible repercussions in terms of the possibility of a bar status.

If you attend a board and are recommended for promotion then yes you are off the CLI list but on the promotion list. So you are still on the promotion list. If you ask you company leadership to remove you, it is up to them as to whether a BAR would be imposed.

SPC (Join to see) - Ok. Now I'm tracking. Now, why would you be removed from the list if you go to the board?

no, that's the reason for going to the board. I'm in the list, I'm going there to get off it. Question is what are the repercussions for doing that.

SPC (Join to see) I don't understand your question, when you go to the board and you get recommended, your name will go into the C10 roster. Can you explain it a little better? Thanks

Yes, I haven't been to the board, I just appeared on the c10 list. In order to get off it, i have to go to the board and state my request. At which point I should be taken off, however I was wondering what happens next. Will a bar to re enlist be placed on me?

SPC (Join to see) - if you were to be promotable you would still be on the C10 list I do not understand your question.

SPC (Join to see) You are mistaken, you got placed on the C10 via the CLI, if you go to the board and pass it, you will still be on the C10. There are several ways to get off the C10: 1) get promoted to the next rank, 2) get flagged for whatever reason,3) 90 days after being on the CLI, your CDR has the option of circling yes on the AAA-294 to keep you as promotable, or circle no to remove you.
