As the issue of racism in America is examined on a national and international stage, are we on the verge of a full blown race war?

A line has seemingly been drawn and you're either with the Black Lives Matter movement or your against it according to the media and masses. There have been both peaceful demonstrations and outright riots with people being lynched. There have been numerous instances of police killing people and people targeting police.
Are we on the verge of a huge race war?

I think it is overblown this supposed race war...America is stronger than that in spite of the undercurrents..........by the way, where were there lynchings?

In my opinion, the racial divide isn't as great as groups like BLM try to make it appear. If you notice this crap mostly happens in large metro areas with a large minority community. My problem is they use the protests as excuses for looting and destruction. The message that they are trying to put out is getting lost in the criminal activity. An race whores like Al Sharpton, Jessie Jackson, and the like get to line their pockets even more when this happens. I have become less sensitive to any group now. I'm tired of BLM, Muslims, Fanatic Christians like the Westboro Church and any "special interest" group. The majority of African-American people in this country are hard working citizens who want nothing more then to work, raise their family and enjoy the benefits of being citizens. These idiots who riot do more damage to their community than help. I was always a live and let live kind of man. I find myself starting to have anger and hate in my heart for some groups. I am saddened by this because I was a friendly person to all. Lived by the tenet of "treat others as you want to be treated". Now I find myself wary, and distrustful of many people. If nothing else, the biggest thing I miss about my time in the USAF is the trust, loyalty and brotherhood for everyone I was stationed with. I didn't just fight for my country, I fought for the brother on either side of me.

If BLM really believed that Black lives matter, BLM would address the largest by far murder of black lives.... and its not police, cancer, drunk driving.....
If you had a child on the floor of a house and the sink drain was dripping occasionally and a child on a boat sinking rapidly into the water...which would you address first?
BLM is hitting the sink drain with a hammer ...not only the wrong priority of work effort.. but they will make the leak worse, not better.

What did you find about my post that fits one of those categories?
You will notice simply disagreeing with what is posted is not a valid reason to down vote

What is voting down? Voting down, or "down voting", is how the community indicates that a member's post...

"Their fight " is based on a lie.. But thier fight has merit anyway.. hows that for a dose of reality.
And "Their fight "... how is that accomplished by looting and rioting? Or calling for cops to be killed, towns to be burned...does it help thier cause to chase down folks that dont meet a color spectrum and beat them?
oh wait, that's not BLM.. that's just folks wearing BLM shirts, shouting BLM....but not REALLLLY BLM.....
I concur there is an institutional issue that can be addressed... but method, honesty in word and action, plus self reflection in one's own demographic counts for something.

I think you could go so far as to ask if we are in a race war. Sadly, I'd have to say yes. It's not total war, not yet. But the inciters are hard at work trying to make it so and no one is speaking out against them. Law enforcement can't stop it any more than they started it. We need to stop inciting it and that won't happen until certain changes are made in our national and local leadership. Sadly, I see little hope of that happening anytime soon, certainly not this November.

COL William Oseles - You are most correct in your observations about the media taking advantage of the hostilities. I don't know if they still use the term, but editors once encouraged their reporters to look for the "bang-bang" that would help draw ratings.

Some of the history of Mr. Soros and how he makes money: A while back via currency speculation he collapsed several Asian currencies in succession, profiting in the hundreds of millions if not Billions while causing a sharp recession in each country, some countries had to seek emergency economic aid packages. When asked about how he could reconcile himself morally with that he answered something along these lines "I just hastened the inevitable and made a profit, nothing more". However he justifies it, what he did there was wrong in my view.

TSgt Frank Shirley - You say that "both will readily admit their belief in the Bible" ... you're referring to the same Democrat party that "Booed" three times during the 2012 convention when mention of God being referred to in their charter, right?

TSgt Frank Shirley - "Clearly" you see what you think you see. Where did I mention the Democratic party in this discussion thread?
