Without a doubt, Georgia. Benning, Gordon, Stewart, Dobbins, Warner-Robbins, and about a 100 really small posts that I'm not going to try to name. This state is practically designed around the military.

Anywhere away from a military base for starters, and (can only speak for East coast and midwest) to my surprise, the people in bigger cities in New England are crazy pro-military. They seem to treat service members like rock stars. I was visiting my dad whose stationed in Connecticut and we went to a fancy casino restaurant. A Marine boot walked in in his dress blues (looked as if it was his first time home since he joined) and everyone stood up and started clapping just because he walked in the room. Some even walked over to hug and shake his hand. It was actually really cool. Then my dad told me of a parade his sailors marched in Boston. Same thing, nothing but hugs and photo ops for hours.
Closest I ever personally got was a "F*ck yeah, Army dude!" from a drunk in St. Louis lol

I'm been treated very well in MA. Ironically, I think one reason could be because there aren't large military installations here so we aren't as impregnated into the fabric of society. Boston does not revolve around the military like say Fayetteville, NC or Killeen, TX is. So when people see us they are extra nice because we may be the only veteran or military member they run into that day.

I was treated rather well in Britain. Wearing my VFW Cap at Wok and Roll in Overland Park, KS Lady went out of her way to thank me for my service. As Cdr of VFW Post 10299 I lost count of the number of Folks that thanked me for my service doing the Buddy Poppy Thing at Hy Vee on State Line in Prairie Village, KS. From Personal Experience Kansas and Britain are pretty good.

I live in Rochester, NY (upstate) and I'd say we're a VERY military friendly community!
