I mean yes he did wrong (allegedly), but we should not forget that we are still at war against terrorism, and that this fellow was captured and has lived among them and he can be used to conduct facial recognition to produce sketches of those talibans he has been with. In the war against terrorism, information is gold to victory! Bergdahl shouldn't be marginalized by the Army. Any thought?

He was completely debriefed for intelligence information. That has no bearing on his criminal guilt or innocence.

First I'm sick of the media calling him Sgt.
Second, I hope they hang him. He is a traitor, a deserter, and is responsible for the deaths of 6 men, and the injury of many more. Nor can we forget about the families that were ruined because of his treachery.
Lastly I doubt he knows anything of any real value, and if he did he already spilled it to get the death penalty off the table.

He could not be given the death penalty. Yet only from a technicality that Congress never declared war. The UCMJ hand's are tied on that aspect

By the way, I wholly agree about the media calling him SGT. You do NOT become an NCO for time in grade. He is a PFC at best and most likely will become a PV1

You don't need Treason for him to get the death penalty. When he deserted he knew people would be going after him. He is directly responsible for the death of all the men that went after him. As well as the attempted murder of those that were injured. Their is always more than one way to skin a cat.

Personally, I believe he was already working with a "3 Letter" before and during the entire time of his absence...
From the time he left until his "unusual" return...
Just my 2 cents...

Bergdahl: should we stop complaining and arguing about and try to perceive this fellow as a potential intelligence carrier?

My question is - Why would we believe anything this guy says?

It seems to me that outside of occasional propaganda videos that have surfaced starring Bergdahl, he was blindfolded and in a dark room 99.9% of the time. I would surmise any intelligence would have come from him to the Taliban about US Forces

Additionally, in the video where PFC Bergdahl was handed over to JSOC, PFC Bergdahl was having big time issues adjusting to the light outside, that tells you something about his SOP as a Taliban prisoner

Sidenote: I say PFC Bergdahl because I do not recognize him as an NCO. You do NOT become an NCO just for time in grade

Are you serious? I can guarantee that officials have tried to get all the intel out of him that they could of. He left his post! In my eyes he a coward and a traitor no one will ever be able to convince me otherwise.
