If I was a SSG non-P I would reclass to 35Q like, yesterday. This is changing the future of MI. I shot myself in the foot by not requesting that a few years ago.

25D or 25B or the MI equivalent to either of them as well. I am a 25B and can't wait to get the chance to be a 25D.

First of all, I would love to go back to Infantry and given the opportunity I would do it in a heart beat, however when it comes to re-classing? I'd probably pick MP or 88N.

I love being a Scout, but if I had to do something different - I would drop my Warrant Packet for Aviation. I also toyed with re-classing to EOD but I couldn't get a TS (young dumb decisions impacting my credit score - a credit score - go figure).

I used to be signal,  that lasted for about a year. I was too bored with it. I went aviation and never regretted a day.  Good people and a good mission. There is plenty of market on the outside world no matter which mos you would pick. Of course you would have to be willing to relocate to the job though.

As a career counselor, my advice for one that it is with in
the reenlistment window it is based on their individual qualifications and school seats
available at the time; at this point time is critical and it is best to keep it
realistic.

If the Soldier is not with in the reenlistment window than it makes it
easier, Soldiers can actually do their research and many times find an MOS that
suits them both in the military as well
as the civilian world (always look ahead, where do you see yourself 5-8 years
from now).

Having said that, key thing to keep in mind,  the Army will offer only MOSs that the Army
needs and many times it may not match what the Soldier wants or qualifies for.

I was a 31B (MP) for many years and then reclassed to 35D (Imagery Analyst).  It was at the 35D course I realized why the word anal was in analyst.  If I could do my military career all over again (hindsight being 20/20) I would go 35F (Intelligence Analyst).  There are all kinds of great paying contractor jobs for that position outside the Army.
