Some military movies got overlooked in the recognition department. I liked "The Siege of Firebase Gloria"-just because R. Lee Ermey rocked it with his one-liners! What other less-known tasty military nuggets are out there, possibly undiscovered?

I may get some flack for these but how about "The Boys of Company C" with R. Lee Ermey and "A Rumor of War" ? Both are about Vietnam and the focus is on the training of Marines who are thrust into this conflict. The first movie focuses on the training of enlisted Marines "Boys" and the second "A Rumor..." on the training and experiences of an OCS trained Lieutenant. Any thoughts?

Cpl Dennis F. is in the zone! If you haven't seen EVERY singlw movie he has listed, your life isn't complete! That 84 Charlie Mopic flick has some good training value as well. LRRPS taught me tons of ways for me to "die" from chasing them in Germany.

SFC Mark Merino I also love as series both Gomer Pyle, USMC and F-Troop. In the one scene you have the Hakowie send up smoke signals and the Chief says, "Running Bear is bad speller!!" Loved that show!!!! Goofy but funny. Mary Jane was smoking.....

Laugh if you want to but I am a big fan of The Delta Force with Chuck Norris. It really is scary to think about an in flight hijacking like that but when you fast forward to 911 you can see how much that film gives away. I can't imagine a terrorist high jacking a plane and then moving the passengers off into a holding cell in a foreign country. I think its a classic movie and you have to love the theme music throughout the film. Major McCoy all day!!

LTC Paul Labrador I must have seen that in the theater 10 times. It might have had an impact on my career choice! But, NEVER UNDERRATED!!!!! Whoever did that remake should be SHOT!
