What was your most favorite unit you have been assigned too, and would you like to go back to it if it was possible?
This also applies to veterans as well.

Probably the best unit I was in was Reserve Marine Safety Office Charleston. It never really existed. It was commissioned so that it could be decommissioned and the reservists (who really did exist) could be integrated into MSO Charleston when the CG Reserve was absorbed by active duty. My records show I was assigned to air Station Clearwater even though I was never there. Their old OPFAC was reused, but the new unit was decommissioned faster than the OPFAC number could be reassigned in the DOD computers.

6912th USAFSS at Tempelhof Central Airport in Berlin, Germany, 1965-1967. The Wall had just been built a few years earlier, and the adult Berliners were still grateful to US airmen for the Berlin Airlift which had earlier saved so many of them and their families from starvation. Wonderful, politically and geographically unique city...great people.

4th Marine Expeditionary Brigage, HQ Company, Little Creek Amphibious Base, Virginia.
Good times. Great location.
Worst part.... "Arctic Warfare Unit". hahaha I hate the cold, and we specialized in it.

One of the best 1SG's I've ever encountered: firm, fair and engaged!

i agree 100%. 317th Maint Company Bamberg Germany 2002 -2007. (Wolf pack No Slack!). 1SG Nobel is one of the best 1SG that i had every encountered.. He contriubuted conviction and meaning to the NCO Corps. He is the only 1SG that really had a back bone and fought for his Soldiers.54th MST; (Leads the way!)

173rd A co 1-503rd The Herd the unit that I've serve in even through deployments and training exercises. One of the best NCO corps in the military and officers that are motivated to learn their job and not always referring to the ranger hand book

4th Military Police Company, 4th Infantry Division OIF 1.
It was the best and worst of times.
With the same troops I'd go back right now.
