Sgt Kelli Mays I understand every human on the planet wants to better their position. This cannot be argued with any believability.
So if you're illegal, and want to stay. Do the paperwork. Start paying taxes. Participate in the republic. In this case, you have a foot to stand on. If you're working under the table...you do NOT.

I'd challenge both of you to look in the kitchen and see what foods you have in there. When you get all the names research to see how many American's work to process the food. Ok next see how many of those American's are in management positions vs. those in the fields picking the foods. You'll find very few Americans in the field, but you will find MANY illegals out there working under the table getting you the food we all eat. Those families paid one heck of a price, and I feel for them. But the biggest culprit out there are the two lobbys that NO party wants to tangle with and that business and agriculture. Short of oil, weapons, and defense, they'd make any congressman's life very hard to live.

I am first generation American and I did not learn English until I started school because she was still mad about the loss of the Armada typical Spanish mother I have her Spanish passport because that was I would have dual citizenship. My father became an American citizen to go fight the Germans in World War Two. I have had some really good arguments with people they are really shocked at my fluent Spanish. I can curse them out in several languages the curse words are all ways the easiest to learn!!

PVT Raymond Lopez - Italian and Spanish are not so far apart.... I can use it and several other languages as well. Yes it seems the curse words are easiest to learn and oh dare I say remember....

Sgt Kelli Mays many Californian's who respond to these types of polls seem to be in la-la land. I do not mean Los Angeles :-)
The state has continual budget problems, there are water problems primarily because on arcane arrangement of who has water priority across the state, and businesses and citizens having been leaving the state resulting in a net loss of Congressional seats.
Undocumented workers drain the states resources for emergency and other health aid and in some cases police and educational resources.
All effort should be made to encourage undocumented people to take the steps to become citizens of this nation or return to whence they came.
