LTC Jason Mackay Navy SecNav instruction are much harder to understand than Army regulations but I'm no just a low level peon! I have seen all sorts of people from all services wearing awards of other services when I worked for Navy and Air Force. I think with joint commands you are seeing it more and more and you are also seeing more joint service medals awarded.

SFC William Farrell - it's not expressly forbidden, just has some rules. These two pages lay it out in its entirety. Don't agree with it, I'll just have to remember to fix it when I'm the SECNAV or the SECDEF.
Question pertained to Marines authorization to wear an Army award.

I may be reading this wrong, but it looks like if it's an ARCOM without the V, then, yes, if with a V, there's a whole rigmarole to go through to get it approved.

My post got entered before I finished. Recommend you look at AR 600-8-22 where it discusses award of Army decorations to other services. SGT Javier Silva

LTC (Join to see) - Sir, from what was posted earlier, the Navy reg is a pain in the butt, but from my understanding of it, yes, if it's without the V device, and if it does have a V device, then DON has to concur for the Marine to be allowed to wear it.

I believe service concurrence is required for all out of branch awards. You can wear it if concurrence happens. It’s just an administrative step to ensure there is no duplicate awards for the same action. SGT James LeFebvre

It's not required for certain awards like the ARCOM, AAM, and MSM just if it has the V device. Here is what 600-8-22 says:
"1–37. Awards to personnel of other Services
a. Peacetime awards of the Meritorious Service Medal (MSM), ARCOM, and AAM may be awarded to a Servicemember of another military Service permanently assigned to an Army unit without the concurrence from the other
Service concerned. Likewise, Soldiers permanently assigned to another military Service may be awarded other
Service’s decorations (MSM and below) without seeking concurrence from the Army. A copy of the approved award
will be forwarded to the parent Service’s awards office for permanent record keeping. Recommendations for award of
the Legion of Merit (LM) and above will be submitted to the Servicemembers’ parent Service for consideration and
processing.
b. For Servicemembers temporarily assigned to another Service, the other Service may recommend the MSM and
below by forwarding the recommendation directly to the Servicemember’s permanent command for action and/or
concurrence. The award must be approved prior to obtaining concurrence. Once concurrence is obtained, orders will be
issued. Addresses for the other military Services are provided in table 1–1.
c. An Army decoration will not be awarded to a Servicemember of another military Service for any act or period of
meritorious service recognized by award of a decoration by another military Services Department."
Now, whether they can wear them or not, that depends on the other service's uniform regs.
