No. You wear the one you want to. Don’t let anyone tell you differently. I wear my CIB in most uniforms, but also wear my EIB and CAB on others. I do only wear my CIB on my dress uniform though.

you can wear one of either not both. If you want to move up in ranks you will need the EIB

As I understand the Regs', the CIB replaces the EIB, irrespective of one earning both.

After I received my CIB, I wore both.

The CIB above my ribbons because the regs said I had to.

The EIB under my pocket flap, because that was the one of which I was most proud.

Personnel who have been awarded both the EIB and the CIB are not authorized to wear both badges simultaneously. In such cases, the CIB has precedence according to Army Regulation 670-1.

ssg Leake there is no precedence in the reg. They are both in the same group and the wearer cam choose which he wants to wear and change them out at his convenience or desire. There is no wrong way.

CPT William Jones, again, I got this from the AR 670-1
Personnel who have been awarded both the EIB and the CIB are not authorized to wear both awards simultaneously. In such cases, the CIB has precedence according to Army Regulation 670-1. However, while the CIB may have precedence, holders of both may choose to wear the EIB instead of the CIB.
I never stated there was a "wrong way" to wear them sir. Maybe a recheck on the Regs is in order, sir? I did my research. It states there IS a precedence, and the CIB is over the EIB.

Thank you SSG I am out and have been a long time and don't have easy access to the ARs. I do know they are in the same group indicating only one at a time on uniform , does it specifically say there is a precedence order. I also did not say you stated there was a wrong way I just stated there was no wrong way. Thank you for your service and standing a watch on the wall( So to sum up for me. The CIB is a higher award than the EIB similar that the Silver Star is a higher award than The Bronze Star and Silver has precedence.)
