Can anyone tell me where I can find out who the youngest IDC in the Corpsman community ever was? I've tried googling and I'd got nothing.

The is also an Independent Duty Corpsman Association. They have a facebook page. They may have your answer.

Capt Seid Waddell
The youngest I have come across was 16.
"there was a 16 year-old loblolly boy aboard the U.S.S. Eagle, Joseph Anderson, about 1800. Anderson has the distinction of being the first known African-American loblolly boy."

PO2 (Join to see) - I'm unsure if the statistics are closely tracked as we have had them as young as 24-25 (HMC Drew Chubb) who was in my IDC class but he might actually know the answer. He is currently at BUMED. If I remember correctly his email should be [login to see] .
Headed to IDC School?

SWMI should have that information. Another point of contact for this would be the CMC at the school house in San Diego.
