Can anyone tell me which are the most deployed units in the Army? Preferably a mechanized unit. If you’re PCSing can you choose next unit?

I want to go to a mech unit next, so I’m wondering if I can specifically request a mechanized unit assignment.

2-44 ADA is considered one of the most deployed regular units. They deployed every other year and are one of two currently active ADA units

If you want to deploy go become a ranger or if you’re cut for it special forces. Pretty simple stupid

Call your branch manager and ask, if not volunteer to go to Korea, then about 7 or 6 months before your tour ends call your branch manager again and you can have station of choice anywhere you want.

3rd Cavalry Regiment has a really high optempo, though it does suffer on the planning end since it has no Division Headquarters to help support it (we report directly to III Corps). Its classified as a Stryker unit but I don't think they've deployed with Strykers since transitioning to them in 2011.

4ID deploys a BDE every year. You can try and call your branch manager and request a post.

Try for 1st or 3rd BCT, 4ID. They've been in the Bucket a lot in the last few years.

It’s very expensive to deploy mechanized units thus it’s becoming harder and harder to find units that are heavy/mech being sent overseas. When you find them, most of them are being sent without their mechanized/heavy components.
If you were going to gamble and you find that you have the ability to maneuver yourself into a position in a unit where you have the highest potential to deploy historically-I suggest 3ID at Fort Stewart or Fort Benning; next unit would be 1ID after that very closely 1st CAV and then 4ID
A lot of those units may have infantry but they’re going to be in Bradleys some of them are going to be at strykers as well so you have to check to see what type of Equipment the units have.
unlike the past during the war these units may be on possible deployment but could be taken off; or will send a very small contingent as opposed to a larger force to support operations overseas.
hope that helps!
