Can Carl Icahn Tell You If Donald Trump Will Be President, Or Not?

Very interesting article for the non-Trump supporters and Trump Supporters to read concerning Carl Icahn. Billionaire investor Carl Icahn is the guy who will tell you if Republican presidential candidate and fellow billionaire Donald Trump has a chance at the White House or not.

It is way to early to tell anything in this race. I think Trump has the problem that the more people learn about him the less likely they are to continue their support for him as President. He has great name recommendation and he is not part of the political establishment, which is why he is leading currently. As the field starts to shrink, I think we will see the Trumps numbers stay about the same and others catch and pass him.

This article makes it seem that if Trump is elected, positions to be filled will be based on personal financial decisions (unlike what Trump is touting now) verses ability to perform - and I don't think that's a good model. I never believed that the richest people in the world are the smartest. They are obviously savvy in one particular area, business, but as we often have seen in the past, business can be ruthless and corrupt - just like politics and I don't necessarily see it as a better model (to hire business people to run the country).

I doubt it. I've only heard of this guy (Icahn) in passing before, so for me to believe anything he has to say regarding politics I take with a grain of salt.

PO1 John Miller I don't disagree, but I thought it was interesting how Trumpo is getting some other billionaires behind him in his quest for the White House.

Interesting point sir. It makes sense, since Trump is most likely against higher taxes for the uber wealthy/against "wealth redistribution." He hasn't said anything regarding that (that I know of) but I wouldn't be surprised if I'm right.

COL Mikel J. Burroughs - Mikel; You can find the raw data for the latest released poll covering who did how well in the "Republican Potential Candidates for Candidates Debate" here.

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/interactive/2015/08/14/fox-news-poll-sanders-gains-on-clinton/

Of course any so-called "Polling" results from this left-wing, liberal, socialist, commie organization are always suspect.

PS - Am I being overly cynical when I suspect that some of the support for Mr. Bush is because some people believe that he is the President of the United States of America and the country should never change presidents in the middle of a war?

I don't think anyone can predict the outcome of elections. Just because they are both billionaires, doesn't mean they can predict anything.
