Did you receive a clear answer? I have the same question. One source told me as low as 60 hours whereas I always read that a bachelor’s degree is required.

You may attend OCS for the National Guard if you have at least 90 units. You will not be able to be promoted to Captain until you have a bachelor's degree.

A bachelor's degree is required in order to commission in the Army or Army Reserve.

It used to be this way but now your bachelors must be completed prior to attending OCS.

You must have a minimum of 60 credit hours to begin OCS (unless things have changed, its been a titch since I have been to OCS mind you. You are given a certain amount of time to get your 4-year degree (or 120 credit hours). I believe you cannot get promoted to O3 unless you have the 120 credit hours unless that has changed. I am going off of almost 20 year old info because I was in OCS in 2001. ha ha

4 year is now required. I believe it change in 2013 or 2014. I know when I went in 15 it was required. Not to say it couldn’t switch back if we need to grow quickly again.

90 hours and only applies to the National Guard. I commissioned in 1985 and I don't know anyone outside the Guard that went to OCS with less than a 4 year Degree. Back then it was at least in theory possible, they just chose everyone that did have a degree first. You are correct, you have to complete before 03.

No. The Active Army and Army Reserve require a 4 year degree anymore. You can go to OCS in the National Guard with 90 credit hours, but you must have a 4 year degree to promote to Captain and the Officer Ranks are either promote up or out.
