Recently I received my class date (a year from now) to voluntary reclass to 68C. I've been hearing different things, hopefully I can get some clarification. Is it true that if I have my promotable status prior to attending class, it will be dropped or prevent me from attending class. Or can I keep my promotable status then get promoted when I get MOS qualified?

I am in a similar situation currently. You have to look at the Reclassification IN/OUT calls for 68C, this will tell you the requirements. For example, I am reclassing to 25N and for the IN/OUT calls for this MOS they are only accepting non promotable E4's so I had to drop my (P) status. That was a risk I was willing to accept because 1. I already signed my reenlistment contract and the retention NCO was unaware of the IN/OUT calls and 2. If your school allows it you can go to the board there and get it back or at your next station, which is an easy fix. Here is the link for the most recent IN/OUT calls http://www.armyreenlistment.com/Messages/MILPER/In_Out_Calls_18_026_20180119.pdf

Same thing for when I Reclassed but ATTRS had an exception for soldiers in my former MOS with their P.

Check ATTRS and the current in and out calls on HRC. You’re answer will be there. When I reclassed from 68W to 68N it was only open to non promotable SPC’s. Had I known to look at the ATTRS for the course I would have seen only 68W’s with their P were permitted in the course.

Can I keep my promotable status when reclassifying to 68C?

Depends on the requirements of the army at the time you went with that decision, if they didn’t want E5s at the time chances are no. But good news either way, they want E5 68C so getting a p status back is pretty easy - please tell all your class mates they will find out where there going all together. It will be fun, y’all can talk about, don’t stress

Very SVC friendly, totally regionally accredited, was part of NYS govt, then privatized, full nursing program, assoc, bach, MSN, NP, call them, look up also Oak Tree College in CT and Edison State Univ in NJ, look up DANTES, get a military transcript, send it to Excelsior, look up Community College of the AF (CCAF), here assoc only, I've heard one needs a fully rated AFSC from USAF, I've often wondered if other svcs can use them, if a given ipMOSmis equiv to an AFSC, just ask, you've got nothing to lose, OK?

I gather you're dental, you want LPN or 2-yr RN...do you want 4-yr RN eventually? Do you want an MSN and to go for NP? If so, I'll give you a couple of thoughts...elaborate, of you can, OK? Associates? Bachelors? Masters or grad level coursework yet? Would you want PA at all? I realize you're wanting to redlass, I get that, I merely thought to suggest some things that I thought might be of interest, that's all, honest, OK? I'm just curious, what draws you away from dental toward LPM or RN? It'd help suggest things if you could elaborate on what you've done thus far on your own, even if onoy part time, do a detailed bio sketch, trading, hobbies, interests...do you want senior enlisted? Warrant? Commissioned? If I can suggest things, just ask, !meanwhile, look at what I'll try to send, call those groups I'll suggest, OK? Elaborate, I'd be interested to hear Kore, honest, no rush, whenever convenient, OK?

You need a HRC waiver. Talk to your career counselor.
