I have been at my current duty station for 18 months. This is my second duty station it is within CONUS, my first was an OCONUS hardship tour. In June, I will have 2 years left on my initial contract, my question is can I request to PCS to another CONUS duty station with the time I have left?

Your branch will not PCS you as an initial term Soldier. In a few months you can request to reenlist for a new assignment

So if one signed a 6 year contract as their initial contract they will be at the first duty station for 6 years ?

SSG (Join to see) sometimes but probably not. Usually only a few MOS's have to sign a six year contract. There are movement policies based on how long your initial contract is and how many times your branch can move you

Can you request it? Sure. Will it happen? High chances of it not happening.
