Can I use TA to pay for industry certs (such as A+, Net+, etc) or is TA used only for college?

to the best of my understanding you can use TA or GI bill for any accredited programs that leads to a degree or certification. My daughter used TA to get a cert in architectural drafting and my youngest son used my GI bill to get Heavy Equipment/Crane operator certs.

Check on cool.army.mil. If they are authorized certifications, the Army will pay for them using the Credentialing Assistance Program. It's up to $4000 per year, and you can apply on goarmyed just like you would for TA.

You can find a class that is eligible for TA that teaches the certification, but TA does not pay for the test voucher itself.
You would need to enroll in a class that includes a seat in the test in the class tuition and fees.
You could also take that class through an education center that gives you a voucher for the test.
