Yes and no.
You can serve in the military with scoliosis. Determination is based on range degree.
Not eligible if lumbar scoliosis greater than 20 degrees, thoracic scoliosis greater than 30 degrees, or kyphosis and lordosis greater than 55 degrees when measured by the Cobb method (this would be disqualifying for military service). Not only disqualify for joining but continuing service. If a doctor deems your condition prevents proper wearing of a uniform or military equipment it could justify a medical discharge.
Classes of scoliosis defined in AR 40-501, page 38
Mild scoliosis is often managed simply with exercise, medical observation, and scoliosis-specific physical therapy. For some people with scoliosis, yoga is also recommended to decrease their pain level and increase flexibility.

SPC (Join to see) the response is great from MAJ (Join to see) . I would urge caution in thumbing through (or CTRL F) AR40-501 or the DoDI that governs medical fitness. Both publications differentiate between retention standards and initial entry standards. In 40-501 they are entire chapters on their own in the regulation. Make sure you are looking at retention and not initial entry/accession standards chapters respectively.
