I'm thinking about attending Capella University for my MBA in Project Management. Has anyone attended the flexpath program? It seems like more of my style of learning. I earned my BSIT degree online so the online format doesn't scare me.
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

My wife is currently doing the Flexpath for her (2nd) Masters. She did a traditional Masters through Penn State the first time.
It's a much more "no training wheels" approach, in that the (perceived) support is just not there. You master the concepts on your own using their study guides/books/case studies, and do the assignments. You are able to adjust the timelines to fit your needs.
If you have an understanding of the "Concept" (course, etc) it's great. If it is one of your weak areas, it can be frustrating, because you will feel like you are banging your head against a wall trying to meet their requirements. Less interaction leads to more "vagueness."
If you are focused though, you can knock them out MUCH faster (1.5-2x) than a traditional courseload though.

Great. Thanks for the info. I have always been a self paced learner. I finished my BSIT in about three years.

I finished my MBA through Capella in 2010. great program and from what I'm finding it is a well respected degree. Good luck with whatever program you choose to pursue.

The flexpath was awesome. I ended up getting my Masters in Information Management with a specialization in PM. What helped me out tremendously (and I highly recommend) is sitting for the PMP exam before you start your core classes in PM. This will allow you to save money and time. Capella will exempt you from taking any of the PM classes because you have shown the university that you're competent in the field of PM.

Thank you! You probably just saved me a ton of time. I'm in the process of getting everything together to apply for my PMP.
