As many will admit that life in the military is not for everyone there are those OMG I can't believe this is my job moments. What experience or opportunity only offered by the military has made your service worth it for you.

Traveling three fourths of the way around the world. Seeing different countries and experiencing different cultures. Being out to sea is an experience in itself. PT on a flight deck offers a different landscape each day, sunsets that are beyond anything I have seen on land, and I never realized how many stars there actually are in the sky until I was thousands of miles from nearest land.

Not on ship, but I think they were hanging out at the pub I frequented in Hong Kong.

There are so many experiences. Sometimes, I just grin and think to myself, "I absolutely cannot believe I get PAID to do this sh**!
Whether I'm flying around in a Black Hawk, shaking hands with a General, riding along on a convoy, or shooting a .50 Cal., I'm constantly reminding myself of how many people never get to experience anything like the military. It's rough sometimes, but the choice was the right one.
In the pic, I'm about to sling load a Howitzer. My face pretty much sums it up!
