anyone that embellishes their record for personal advancement is a disgrace to anyone who actually accomplished the feats they claimed. i hope he enjoys this humiliation.

In light of the recent Army Times article concerning LTC Green and his false Ranger/Sapper tabs.....as well as...get this....false ARCOM w/ V, CAB and Air Assault badge....I complete agree that CSM Crump's case resolution was too harsh...

William O. Wooldridge (August 12, 1922 – March 5, 2012) a much decorated career enlisted man in the United States Army, was the first Sergeant Major of the Army. In 1969, while Command Sergeant Major of the Military Assistance Command, Vietnam, Wooldridge was accused in a congressional inquiry of fraud and corruption related to the military club system. This resulted in Wooldridge being tried in the court of public opinion. In 1973 the Department of Justice and Wooldridge reached an agreement whereby Wooldridge pleaded guilty to accepting stock equity from a corporation engaged in providing merchandise to the non-commissioned officers' clubs in Vietnam. The government did not find any wrongdoing on his part while serving as the Sergeant Major of the Army. "Although the investigation tarnished the final years of Wooldridge's career, it could not diminish his heroic wartime exploits or his arduous labors on behalf of enlisted soldiers and non-commissioned officers as the first Sergeant Major of the Army." He was awarded the Army Distinguished Service Medal, but it was withdrawn following this episode. In Robin Moore's novel Khaki Mafia, a fictional character in a criminal cartel is based on Woolridge in Vietnam.

Gene C. McKinney was the 10th sergeant major of the army (SMA) of the United States, serving from July 1995 to October 1997. He was the first and to date the only African American to reach that rank in the United States Army. In 1998, he was court martialed on a variety of charges including sexual harassment and obstruction of justice. He was convicted of the obstruction of justice charge and demoted to the rank of master sergeant.

when he retires he will still get CSM pay. so they should have reduced his retirement as well

Prison seems excess, I say demotion to E-4, lock him on post for a few months, give him a shit ton of extra bullshit duty, take away a shit ton of his pay, and give him the boot.

If he got away with it, its only because his chain of command didn't know their personnel well enough
