"Football saved Hank" --Goff's mother

Last night, I watched Hank Goff (USMC) recognized with the "Disney Spirit Award." His acceptance speech was short, poignant, and extremely emotional. His response in dealing with his own PTSD: "Have a Purpose." Easier said than done. But, this Marine did. Returning from multiple tours in both Iraq and Afghanistan, Goff has overcome the loss of his friends, and his internal demons... and those yet to come. He found his purpose in football. We're all cheering for you ...and our brothers still searching for a purpose. Welcome Home, Marine! and Congratulations!

I invite you ALL to take a look at the video from ESPN:

Here's the broader story:

Thank you for sharing I must admit this one tore me up, this suicide issue MUST stop. I think we must exhaust every resource available to break these crushing losses.

Thank you for sharing! It's very uplifting to see success rise from such darkness! Hopefully he can be an inspiration to many who are still battling the demons!
