did combat make him do it, or did he have a problem before hand?

If the facts are as the story suggests, I support the death penalty. This is not combat, this is serial murders.

To add a bit more to this. I was reading peoples responses on FB, some were horrified, it is horrifying. Some were saying that tragic as it is, unless one is a combat vet one does not know how terrible things got and sometimes these kinds of things happen. I have no ability to really have an opinion so I am submitting this to those who have the ability to comment with any real understanding.
