Did the TIG requirement for 2LT-1LT change to 24 months?

According to some incredible sources, I am hearing that The TIG requirment changed to 24months. Is that true??

Still 18 months, unless you can't get people to process it, and then here we are 30 months later with evaluations that say "Promote at first opportunity" and wearing a gold bar still.

Depends what year group you are. Anyone’s BASD or Commissioning that is FY 17 changed to 24 months. FY 16 is he final group for 18 months, from my understanding atleast.

You said it, incredible sources, so I'm guessing "2LTNN". Unless it's already officially posted on HRC, I'd count on 18 months.

Well, I was mostly kidding, but let's think about it. There is no such thing as a born leader. It takes time and training. I understand that officers go through great initial training, but the real education is in the field with men. It takes tutelage under great officers and Senior NCO's. An enlisted man doesn't even reach the rank of Specialist until 2 years, and 90% of them aren't even given leadership roles until they've been there more than a few months. I'm not saying to not give you guys raises, but making Captain in three years is a bit fast I think.
