Seeing the SPC get a Company Grade for jumping with his fish is pretty high on the "awesome reason for an Article 15" list.... so what's you story?

I got one for fighting. Busted from SPC to E2. Almost got one another time for telling a SFC "I've been an E4 twice, which makes me an E8, so I outrank you."

After I busted my foot, i got another field grade for some other stupid thing I did.

I almost got kicked out of the army I got arrested by police during a best warrior competition down in Fort Lee Virginia. I was racing my mustang up and down Mckenzie street when I parked it in front of my dads house the police pulled up behind me. But at the time I wasn't driving my buddy was. So they asked to search the car I said yes. They hand cuff me and put me on the sidewalk. Next thing you know they find a bag some stripper left in my car with a controlled substance. They take me down to Petersburg police station then let me go. I had to walk back to my dads house at 2 am in the ghetto with my white ass. I woke up late for the best warrior competition with my exhaust missing from the night before and I have BBK header so I'm late and I'm loud and everyone sees me pull up. Anyways my commander and firstsergeant don't find out until 6 months later. They barred me from reenlisting now I'm stationed in Germany I wasn't found guilty on any charges by the way. I love the Army.

I received a company grade 14/14 when I was a a PFC stationed at Fort Hood. I was at the time married to another service member she was also an E-3. I was 22 and she was 20. Texas law is if you are married and you spouse is in arm's reach she can drink alcohol, but I did not know state laws do not carry onto post. My 1SG was at the tame restaurant and seen the booth of us. I got busted for distributing to a minor. She got a negative counseling statement for underage drinking.

I think that was a bit harsh. Could probably have been handled by an educational counseling session if you were both unaware and that is a pretty small bit of regulatory trivia to keep up with. It doesn't sound as if either one was trying to get by with anything. Hopefully that was a long time ago.

Capt Tom Brown - Yes Sir it was a long time ago. We had a E-7 that was standing in a 1SG position and he was not a E-7(P) and he was wearing a diamond and the CSM ripped him in front of the entire company for it because he was not to be wearing the diamond. So he was coming down harsh on everyone.

No disciplinary action was taken but I sure did shit a brick. In a nut shell... Ft. Irwin NTC rotation, Night Mission, Spartan 2 MRAP gunner, we arrived at our AO and TC requests a green to green. As I am checking all my gear I notice that my M4 was no longer in the bracket mount on the side of the turret wall. I was shitting but reported it to my platoon SGT over comms. I dismounted and jumped in a HMMWV with my SSG and Platoon SFC and back tracked our route in the dark for an hour. 30yds outside the ECP there it was all smashed up and looked like an M4 should after being run over by multiple uparmored vehicles. 1SG was pissed but no disciplinary action was taken.

It's been so long ago and I've been retired so long, surely statute of limitations will protect me......
I was a SP/5 and our NCOIC was a SP/6 in an Infantry Company is 1972. The NCOIC was on leave when our team was called out on an EDRE that ended in a two week exercise. Since I was the honcho, I had our team work extra hard in the field to maintain our equipment in order to cut down the recovery time when we got back into garrison. Especially important in that it was October Fest time of the year (Berlin, GE). The NCOIC returned from his leave while the team and I were already done, with the equipment at 90%, and I was headed out the door to the Fest. He ordered me to get to the TOE room now and I kind of told him to go Screw himself (or words to that effect). The Company Commander was reluctant to administer it, but I denied nothing and expected it and would not have done anything different. I was fined $50 and that was it. Years later I was reviewing my permanent records at Milpercen or whatever it was called then. I was a SSG then. I saw the Art 15 in my file and called over a SFC Personnel NCO and asked her what procedures I should follow to have it removed from my file. She read it over, pulled it out and said "What Art 15?"
That was one...... a later Field Grade is another story for another day.

I got a Company Grade for my car insurance lapsing (for 15 days).

A year later, got a Field Grade for the Registration on a car that I was not operation, or in possession of expiring (because it was broken down and could not pass inspection, which NC requires to register a vehicle).

I got my first ART 15 3 days into Basic training. It was for "Destruction of Government Property." Guess what the property was.... Me! I got a sunburn because my douchebag drill sergeant refused to give me some sunblock. Up to that point in my life I had never been in temperatures greater than 75°F. I am from Alaska and it does not get very warm in my area and I was sent to Fort Jackson, SC in late July and August. I got sun burnt so bad that I had to go to the emergency room. Upon my release from the hospital I got back to my BCT Company and promptly received the Field Grade ART 15.. All of the Drill SGTs, the 1SG and Company Commander lied to the LTC saying I was provided sunscreen and failed to put it on. I did 45/45 with nothing suspended. I didn't lose rank as I didn't have any.

I came close early in "C" school. Had left my locker unlocked (dumb mistake) and my other two bunk mates had alcohol in the room when there was a surprise inspection. They threw the bottles in my locker. I was called before the CMC and drilled for almost 2 hours before they finally gave up. I was going to be charged with unauthorised contraband and a number of other offenses. Later one of the other 2 bunkmates admitted to the offense and they didn't send me to captains mass but I did get scolded by the CMC and skipper and the admiral. Talk about embarrassing.

I received a "15", along with four of my buddies for "D and D", (drunk and disorderly), We had been drinking beer all day up at the lake, and went back to the Post for chow. The table across from us was filled with MP's and those MP's had the gall to tell us to settle down, shut the up, and our response was to pick up our chow and throw it at them. Spent the night in the slammer, and my CO gave us the choice of Court Martial or Article 15. We all opted for the 15, and received 14 days of extra duty, and restricted to the Base.
