As a Hospital Corpsman in the Navy we had to do pre-confinement physicals to those that were heading to the brig. I had two of the sorriest excuses for sailors brought to the dispensary in Dam Neck, Virginia that I ever seen. With all that Virginia Beach had to offer they decided to sit in the barracks and take lit cigarettes to their arms. A Firewatch seen this going on and turned them in to the OOD. They were brought up on charges of destruction of government property and headed to the brig in Portsmouth. I'm sure they were wishing that they had thought this thru more and went to the boardwalk instead. The other case I worked on was one in which I was doing a release physical on a sailor for discharge. He passed, gathered all his equipment and proceeded to leave the main gate and set it on the road. He then took a lighter to the equipment and torched it right there on the road. Needless to say, the MAA's went out, put the fire out and proceeded to take him back to the dispensary for his pre-confinement physical. Easiest one I ever had to do. =) DocGilly.

A friend of mine actually got arrested by Civilian police while he was in the Corps for dropping an MRE bomb outside a mall.

I got beat up by my soon to be ex-wife. Police were called on both. I was never charged or arrested but her charges eventually were dropped (long story). But the Marine Corps got a report of "domestic assault" associated with my name and ordered me to go to "Men's Group Spousal Abuse Counselling Program". I went to one, heard the female group leader spout off high school Freud and spend the majority of the time blaming the attendants when all of our stories were very similar. So, in my infinite 20 yr old wisdom, I refused to go back. Reduction from E4 to E3 thanks to my fatassed CO and BGen Gail Reals (also fatassed) both top quality ass hats! last laugh: my career lasted longer than either of theirs.

I never got one...but a high school buddy of mine who joined when I did was an MP stationed at an air base in Germany (I don't remember where). He told me that a month before he was to get out of the service he went rabbit hunting with his M16....and was using a jeep to chase it as he shot. He got the rabbit...and drove the jeep off the end of the runway! A 10 foot drop...and the jeep was destroyed. He pretty much was smoked for the rest of his time there.

While getting mortared one of my SPC was complaining about it since it was the 4th one of the day and 2LT Burns told us we were unpatriotic and needed to deal with it. At this time I pointed out that I have more combat time then he had in the Army and if he knew what was good for him he needed to shut up or walk out of the bunker and play catch. This lead to an argument later that day which caused me to kick down his door to his room and swing at him. Sadly I missed as he jumped under his cot like a little bitch. I receive a 15/15 suspended. To this day I regret not laying that MF'r out.

I had someone do that in my platoon during bct wasn't the first time but was the last time he would try sleeping in the middle of the day on a cleaning day. We tied his hands and feet down with his shoelaces, filled his boots with shaving foam, put tabasco sauce on his hands, hid his glasses, and has the biggest guy in the company yell at ease in his ear. He tried to complain to one of the drills but we could all hear her laughing after he left the office to head to the co's.

I kept myself on the straight & narrow in my military career. I'll share with you an incident that happened during my basic training. I went to Ft. Jackson, SC from may to July of 1989. I can't recall the date that it happened, but I remembered what happened. We had a company formation in the afternoon & the 1SG( who was a combination of Carl Weathers & the incredible Hulk, but cool), was screaming at us because one of the trainees was caught at the base's Burger King while on sick call! We got threatened to deny family visits, but instead we got smoked for it. He obviously got the 14/14 pay cut treatment. But, rumor has it , he got a blanket party for it.

Loved Ft. Jackson. I was stationed at the hospital and repairing medical equipment. We use to go up to the air handler floor (secure area). Once inside you could walk out on the grated ventilation system intake for the building. If you looked straight down (3 stories) you could see the trainees waiting for pickup from sick call. We would lay on the grate and using white-out and an eye dropper, drip white-out on the trainees below. It looked like bird crap. If was funny watching them scatter.

We just got back from deployment and during our debriefing we were told not to go out and try to during the city dry. I did try and at 0500 the next morning I called my platoon leader to let him know I had a flat tire (I was to shit faced to make the 530 formation and I was shacked up with some girl). Well after the call I got a call back from my Sargeant asking when I would make it in? I called from a land line, my drunk turned into (I'm screwed). He had caller id and knew I had lied about the flat. 0800 I'm standing (swaying) in from of CSM receiving my only AR15. For missing formation. 45 days later I went drinking again but made sure I had nothing the next day.

Never got one but my CHENG smiled when he gave me my Good Conduct (ever been caught). Something about causing two reactor scrams by shutting down one SSTG. Long story. They weren't called Article 15. Official term was Captains Mast, a one way conversation equivalent to standing behind an F-18 at full military power.

I can't top jumping out of a plane with a fish. Mine wasn't even for anything exciting....under age drinking. Got 14 days extra duty, no loss of rank or pay, and no restriction. It was crazy how many times the lawn mowers broke during that two week span. I guess grunts aren't so good at mower PMCS lol
