I had 6, but the one that I had no problems of getting but the one I got as a private for beating my first sergeant and because of racial remarks and after it was all said and done my first sergeant was a member of the KKK and I receive 14 days extra Duty 14 days restriction suspended but that ass cutting was worth it

I had a friend, big (PFC) John Handley. He was 6'9 black kid from New York. I'm a 5'8 (SPC) white guy from Indiana with an Italian ancestry. He told the best black jokes I'd ever heard, and I told all the best white jokes he'd ever heard. People would hear us from around a corner and think we were racist until they figured out the black kid telling black joke and the white kid telling white jokes wasn't racist, they was just being kids (while also being enlisted)!

Went to the main gate with 3 other guys and changed the name of Ft. Richardson to Ft. Hard On. 1SG thought it was funny but we still got busted. Two weeks extra duty but worth it. We were celebrities!

I skipped out on a post deployment Yellow Ribbon Reintegration Program since I've been to three of them already.

I am surprised that I never got an artical 15 because of my mouth. I was an M9 firing range as the range armor. A Col was on the line and kept complaining that something was wrng with his weapon and it was not firing right. After inspecting the weapon 3 different times I fire off a few rounds to show that nothing was wrong. As I handed him his weapon back I told him. "You are a dumb ass and could not hit the side of a barn standing 5 feet from it." When I got back to my barracks my CO was waiting for me. We had a talking in his office when done we both were laughing about the whole thing.

1969 in Germany I at morning formation I gave the report all "Present or Accounted For Sir". Upon returning from Chow I was on my way up to my room when I ran into our new Company Commander. He said Sergeant you gave a report that all members of your platoon were "Present or Accounted For" and I replied that I had, "well I just found two soldiers still in their cots and report to my office at 0800 hours"! I reported and he told me he was giving me an Article 15 for giving a false report. I explain that one that one Specialist had just came in from Guard Duty (and policy was to allow them to sleep in) and the other Specialist was rotating out in two days and was in doing his "Out Processing" and thus excused from morning formation. The 1SGT tried to explain that this has been the policy as long as he could remember. He gave me the Article 15 to sign and return it within 48 hours. I called Capt. Kelley a lawyer that I met when I had to testify in a Court Martial (he was the Defense Attorney) and was very impressed with him. He said to tell the Captain that I wanted a Summary Court Martial and he would defend and "eat the CO for lunch". I returned the Article 15 signed stating I wanted the Court Martial. The CO tore it up and said he hoped I had learned my lesson. Figuring I had him I told he couldn't tear it up as it was a legal document and he was denying me my rights for a Court Martial. He told me to quit while I was ahead! He was gone two months later! He was a Helicopter Pilot and lost his flight status so he was carrying a chip on his shoulder because he was assigned to an Airborne Infantry Company!

was the XOs driver and we were leaving Baumholder for Sullivan. I packed my stuff on the bottom and put the Lts stuff on top. Knee high to a grasshopper Napoleon complex buck sgt told me to put my duffle bag in the tool truck, I explained my load plan, but he was having nothing of it. Then the pen and little green book came out and I said fine, and got my bag out from under the Lts stuff. He had gone up the steps, I thought he was going to keep going, but the genius stopped and turned around to feed me more crap. well in that time I had launched the bag, caught the little bastard dead square in the chest and sent him to the back of the truck. needless to say I visited the CO a few days later, little money, clean up the office. probably could of taken up a collection to pay for that one, even some anonymous ones from the brass

I received a maximum Article 15 for "using foul language in the presence of an NCO". My squad was told to go out and "make a road" from the back of Venado DZ to the back of Howard AFB with e-tools and machetes, possibly for various shenanigans though this was not explained. Sometime during the night after the second day, someone or some personnel took a duece from the motor pool on Kobbe. This person went out there and managed to clear about 200m of jungle by ramming the truck into the jungle, back up, repeat until the truck started quitting and only running roughly. The truck was returned to the motor pool. We arrived on the work site to discover a whole lot of work done. The truck was discovered later that day. The project was stopped the next day. We were questioned and expressed deep denial and surprise. At some point during the discussion with the platoon sergeant I said, "Well shit."

Mine was minor. Too hung over to make it to muster in the morning. I wish I had been more creative. Love the MRE IED gag. :)

People I barely remember see an excerpt of the story and ask if I have seen it. Hey! Remember back in Polk when...? Yup.

I received 2 but never above Company level. My roommate and I got a third roommate since we had one of the old 6 man barracks rooms and this asshat was in trouble needing supervision. So after 2 weeks I noticed my PT socks were disappearing but only one out of a pair from a bunch of socks. So I asked my buddy if he was borrowing them and he mentioned his were missing also. Well a week passed and we smelled something foul everytime we were in this asshats corner so we checked and found the smell underneath his mattress. We found our socks had been keeping him company when we weren't there and they were crusted to his bed springs. So we both got company levels with no loss of pay grade but spent 14 days doing shit work for throwing him out of the window(1st floor only but it was about 10 feet to the bottom). Second one was from missing formation due to me meeting my future ex wife and staying at her place longer than I expected...Amazingly I got out of a field grade when I was a PFC even though I blew a .089 12 hours after I think I quit drinking(Memory was a bit hazy, lol) because my Section Chief pulled strings but I sure volunteered a lot for EVERY detail no matter what for 4 months straight.
