Seeing the SPC get a Company Grade for jumping with his fish is pretty high on the "awesome reason for an Article 15" list.... so what's you story?

I would not have recommended the kid with the fish for an Article 15. I would have busted his chops for awhile but UCMJ is too much.

1975, Special weapons base in North Dakota. (Stanley R. Mickelsen Safeguard)My buddy and I were on SAT team. Every sixty minutes we had to do a perimeter check of our small remote base. It was 20 degrees below zero outside and compact snow and ice. Our International Travel All vehicle NEVER got warm. In the garage was a Bobcat left there by some civilian contractor. No keys though. We searched all over and found the keys hidden on top of the back wheel.
For our 02:00 security check my buddy jumped in the bucket with my M-16 and his, and I drove him around the perimeter. We drove all over the place for an hour until it sputtered, nearly out of fuel. We just barely got it back into the garage.
The next day, which we hadn't thought of, you could see our tracks all over the base. The piles of snow we scooped, the berms we created.
Standing before the Provost Marshall and being charged with misappropriation of government property I was defiant. I told the PM to go ahead and give me my Article 15. He asked why I wanted it and I told him that since I had been in the Army for 18 months, had already won an ARCOM for service, but was still only E-2, I was looking forward to speaking with the Inspector General.
In those days, it was automatic to get E-3 at twelve months of service. We had been lost in the shuffle.
Long story short, no article fifteen, no charges, and we were both promoted the following morning at formation.

I guess I misclicked. I was a hard stripe sergeant, not a specialist 5. We didn't have SP5's in the Military Police.

I've never gotten one, but I certainly think I helped keep a few NCOs from getting one by claiming a bunch of things were all my idea instead of theirs. And they're all still in, so I'll leave it at that.

I was supply at the army war college in carlisle bks in carlisle pa. in 89 well we had an inspection coming up and our three star commondant had 200 9 mil. rounds kept in the arms room for whenever he wanted to go shooting so i tried to schedule a time to have them used up but everytime i did something came up and the mp's couldnt fire them off well it come down to only a couple of days before the inspection so i had to do something so i took them to DC and i was going to use the firing range of a german unit that was stationed there i just had to wait until they were done low an behold i was about ready to shoot and out comes the lightning so the range was being shut down as we were leaving i noticed the germans were leaving thier brass behind so i made a deal and gave them our 9mil rounds without and way to identify them and i took 200 empty brass well when i got back i told my 1sg then the provost marshall then the three star gen. and they were all fine with it but our company co found out and he was a dick he was the kind that had a book behind his desk for everything he did ones like the garrison commander the field commander the engineer commander the infantry commander and so on so when i got called in front of him he asked me why i did it so i told him what should i have done sir? were you ready to tell the general we didnt have his rounds when he wanted them ( you know during and inspection you lose it if you dont use it ) and all he said was misapprpriation of military goods like i said he was a dick. and no one spoke up for me. oh well lol

i am sorry to say i did get 5 ar15s but really a couple of them were jacked one i hit the 1sg when i was drunk one night after he threw me against the wall and asked if i was a drunk like my mother well i had just got back from the states after burying her then i got in a fight at the bar one night and had my nose broke so i got one for an alchohole related incident then the one for the 9 mm rounds then we got back from a field problem and my wife was 2 weeks over due with our first child so when we got back i took a humvee home to check on her. then the last one i got was really jacked i was a full time nat. guard and my csm got me put on orders to escort sensitive equipment on board ship from haiti to bayone nj well i missed three drills and when i got back i was told the fsgt wanted to see me so i had no clue i went in and was told i would be given an ar15 for missing drill 3 in a row i got my orders and they didnt care i still got one because i didnt let them know or something like that. the only reason i wasnt booted out of the army i think is because in EVERY inspection i got a 98% or higher no matter what kind of inspection it was and whenever anyone went home on emergency leave i always paid for the ticket and if anyone ever lost gear during a field problem i always "found " enough to have it replaced at no cost to the troop and we always had one hell of a christmas party any married e4 on down had a free dinner for his family at christmas and every child of every soilder in the unit was given a christmas gift all at no charge to the unit i took care of the soilders in my unit like a real supply Sgt should

When I was at Ft.Jackson and a light bird colonel was jealous me being the only Viet Nam vet on the post at that time. I was in my dress greens with ally medals and awards and he with just a good conduct medal> He called me in his office and after I saluted and he said at ease then he made the mistake of saying set down "BOY" and it went through for this ass to call me a boy when I was in a war protecting his ass while he wasn't even dry behind the ears.
Needless to say I punched hime and got a article 15 reduced to private and reduction of pay for 6 mos. It was well worth for him disrespecting as I thought at the time,

being weird is the best defense - sooo many things, saying the wrong thing at the wrong time, mistaken identities of someone's back, and on and on, "that's Jensen, one of the medics, and he's just weird", maybe a chew out, but never an Art 15.

How about you be helpful and share them instead of just commenting on numbers. In normal life, nobody cares of you had an article 15 or not unless you have a good story to go with it. And seeing as the point of this whole conversation is "share your stories, you obviously missed the point.
