I didn't know or realize the many uses of Drones. In this situation, Drones are used to photograph these killer whales.

Not surprising especially if the dones are solar powered Sgt Kelli Mays. Heat sensing drones could detect the difference between the warm blooded killer whales and the surrounding ambient temperature and cold-blooded fish.

Great Use for Drones. Have a special place in my Heart for Killer Whales, Orcas. Being Homeported in Bremerton, WA they were our Escorts Home. A family would pick up the Ship when we entered the Strait of Juan de Fuca and would follow along beside us all the way to Sinclair Inlet. Always considered them our Honor Guard.
