WAVES is a non profit that does not charge VETs or their dive buddy anything to learn to dive

I think that it's very therapeutic as it forces you to live/be in the moment.

WAVES project. Wounded American Warrior Experience Scuba is located in Temecula, CA. I am a disabled veteran who was not finding joy in life. I needed a break from my own thoughts. The instructors are fully dedicated to the veterans they service. Once a member of the WAVES team, your can continue to grow as a diver and a person. My dive buddy is my 12 year old grandson. Not only am I a WAVES diver, so is he. It is amazing. The peace and calmness under the water has to be experienced.

Best dive experience was in Laredo, MX, down around 50ft where a plane had crashed and broke into three pieces. When I got to the bottom, there was a moray eel sitting on the bottom and the guide motioned for me to come over and pet it. I was scared at first but after seeing him do it, it gave me the confidence to do it. It was amazing.

Can't say right now as I'm still in lessons. Hopefully to Lake Pleasant this weekend for finals. My husband was scuba in military but is now an AKA so has a swim leg. So far all is going well, but our scuba friends all have different areas they say is great! Will let you know the first time I scuba after being certified.

I did a series of shark dives with Stuart Cove on Providential, in the Bahamas. The best dive sites I dove in were in the Cayman Islands. Beautiful coral reefs.. I also did a week long live aboard on the Turks and Caicos Aggressor . A beautiful, well run vessel and trip.
