I'm in AIT and finally got my orders. I'll be sent to Joint Base Lewis-McChord. However, I've heard that people stationed there always go to Korea. I'd love to go to Europe and see the sites of my ancestors.

No, there are no rotations to Europe from JBLM. JBLM is aligned with the Pacific area. You may go to a rotation in Korea, but it's not guaranteed.
Years ago 2ID did rotations to Korea, now other units at other posts rotate to Korea for 9 month rotations.

SPC Jesse Bisping A married friend was sent to Europe, I ?could have taken his slot? No matter, the next month’s levy sent me to Korea.

It wasn’t bad, but not as good as he later described living in Europe to me.

Do soldiers stationed at Joint Base Lewis-McChord have a chance to go to Europe or are they guaranteed to go to Korea?

Best chance to go to Europe is to ask for Germany. 10 CAB got deployed to both Europe and Korea while I was there.

Not on a normal rotation, but I arrived to JBER from Korea, then was placed on orders to Korea after I had completed my time there, but ended up having them changed to Alaska. So it's not unheard of.

You can get stationed in Europe after spending time at JBLM. Most people that I have known get stationed in Korea but a few do get Europe. You can also get stuck at JBLM for a long time I have seen that also.

You get 30 days of leave each year. Europe is a plane ticket and a DA-31 away

As a Romeo you could either do pacific pathways (going to a location in the pacific) or go to Afghanistan/Iraq. My old unit just started a rotation to Korea
