Are brown DD214 still in? Because I got a white paper copy. I served 16 years before got out on a medical discharge. Yes so days I miss being back in uniform on base with my soldiers.

Nope, the brown DD214 was a remnant of when DD214s were created on typewriters with carbon paper. Since the creation of a DD214 (except in rare cases) is all digital and printed on office printers, they are almost always standard white office paper (that is, unless for some reason the only available paper at the out-processing center was that ream they got from 'Party World Office Supplies' ☺)

In addition there are multiple copies that have slightly different information. As an example: Member 4.

I have my father's off-white one that he received after he left the Army at the conclusion of WWII. As someone may have already said, the color is probably because documents were typed up in triplicate.

Does the Army give out brown DD214s anymore?

My recent DD214s were digitally signed so the digital copy is the original.

My First DD-214 From The Marine Corps In 1985 Has A Brown Tint, I Don’t Remember If It Was That Color When I Got It , But It Could Have Faded Due To Age And It Was Typed On A Typewriter.
My Other Ones Were Done With A Computer In The Mid 90s And 2001 And They Are Still White .
Paper Does Fade To A Brown Tint With Age , After All Paper Does Come From Trees That Are Shredded And Pulverized Then Bleached White.

Never heard of a brown 214. I retired in 1990.

DD-214's are digital now. So they're on whatever color paper you choose to use when you print them.
