About Us/Mission

My Veteran Community, Inc. is registered as a 501©3 nonprofit organization with the IRS, and incorporated within the state of Texas. Click the link below to verify our 501(c)3 non-profit status with the IRS.

Our mission: To create, connect, and unite our members with life-empowering resources during and after civilian transition.

Our vision: For all veterans, service members, and their families to have access to the resources they need to achieve success during and after service.

My Veteran Community’s mission seeks to answer these three questions:

• What resources are available to veterans, service members, and their families?

• What are they looking for, and what do they need?

• Where are the gaps in assistance, and where can My Veteran Community help?

How the organization supports veterans

MVC is still in the startup phase, but these are the programs we are developing.

Advocacy Program: MVC will connect members in need to resources within the community.

Mentoring Program: MVC will connect members with mentors who will assist in the development of S.M.A.R.T. goals, connection with local resources, and the realization of those goals to help ease the transition process.

Emergency Fund: MVC will provide financial assistance to qualifying members that cannot find assistance through existing resources within their local community.

MVC's Interactive Website: A series of online tools that will help connect our members to local resources, and MVC programs.

Community Outreach Center(s): A facility that offers onsite assistance, a family friendly atmosphere, social events, and a safe place for our members to relax.

Community Charter(s): A committee board formed by local community leaders who lead local organizations into working together as a team to better serve the local military and veteran community.
