You can take your phone anywhere and even answer phone calls in the middle of classes. Just tell the instructor to pause while you finish your phone business. Checking your FB and Snapchat is a bit riskier while running PT because leaving formation is frowned upon so, you have to run and look at your screen simultaneously.
Good Luck at AIT. Follow the above rules and you’ll do great.

That will probably depend on the Company SOP. You have a 50/50 shot. I'd suggest not stressing it right now until you get there.

SFC(P) (Join to see) - Understand Brother. Basic/AIT- HAD to write letters home or be on the DI's shit list. Abn School- got to use pay phones after training on our own time. These buttercups won't walk across the gym floor to talk to their friends- they TEXT instead!

SGM Bill Frazer true. The first time at boot camp we made a phone call to tell the family we made it to the island. The next time was when 9/11 happened and everyone from New York was allowed to call home. The last time was family day lol. Yeah I think it is too much of a distraction you are there to learn how to become a soldier not a weekend vacation. Idk where it went wrong mother of America or what but something went dramastically wrong. So bad My daughter has been looking at West Point and The more time goes by the more I might steer her away from a military academy.
