The Brigade Commander of the 1st Stryker BDE, 4th ID has decided in order to make new Soldiers with no deployment experience feel welcomed, that all Soldiers with combat patches are to remove them while in a field enviornment. I for one think this is a terrible idea and will bring down morale, not improve it. My question is, did the Commander make this decision unilaterally or did he get input from his Senior enlisted advisor (CSM)? Not sure I like the culture that is being forced upon the Soldiers of the 1st stryker Brigade. Thoughts?
